The main objective of Commercial Agriculture is to cultivate crops which can be sold in the market. It can be intensive and extensive agriculture both. Different modern techniques are used to reduce the cost of production. Generally, this practice is followed in areas with a rare population.
In India, this type of agriculture is not very popular because India’s population is more. Recently, after so many improvements Commercial Agriculture is developed in some states of India like Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West-Bengal, and some parts of Assam. Crops like wheat, sugarcane, cotton, jute, and oilseeds are cultivated for commercial purposes.
